I am interested in the influences of climate change and anthropogenic discharge on estuarine and marine ecosystems. The fluctuations in environmental conditions impose different levels of stress onto aquatic organisms, thus, driving changes in community structure, food web interactions and ecosystem functioning. I seek to explore the physiological, behavioural, and population structural response of aquatic organisms to multi-stressors in order to gain an insight in the mechanisms involved in adaptation and plasticity.
